Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: restricted to Edisto, Combahee, Broad and Savannah River drainages in South Carolina and Georgia, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits gravel riffles, gravel and sand runs of creeks and small rivers. Often found in vegetation.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 12 December 2011 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
