Family:  Moridae (Morid cods)
Max. size:  8.89 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; marine; depth range 30 - 500 m
Distribution:  Mediterranean Sea: Ligurian Sea, Tyrrenian Sea, Strait of Messina. Possibly in the North subtropical Atlantic.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Perhaps the early stage of a known species of Moridae, or else neotenic (Ref. 4774).
