Family:  Tripterygiidae (Triplefin blennies), subfamily: Tripterygiinae
Max. size:  3.9 cm TL (male/unsexed); 3.25 cm SL (female)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 0 - 2 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: known only from the central and southern coast of Oman.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Species collected from rock pools (Ref. 11441). Eggs are hemispherical and covered with numerous sticky threads that anchor them in the algae on the nesting sites (Ref. 240). Larvae are planktonic which occur primarily in shallow, nearshore waters (Ref. 94114).
