Family:  Narcinidae (Numbfishes)
Max. size:  30.7 cm TL (female)
Environment:  pelagic-neritic; marine; depth range 35 - 55 m
Distribution:  Southwest Atlantic: Necochea and Camarones (off Argentina).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Benthic on inner continental shelf. Smallest known size of newborn, still with umbilical scars is 9-10 cm TL. Rarely captured and life history unknown (Ref. 114953).
IUCN Red List Status: Data deficient (DD); Date assessed: 01 July 2019 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
