Family:  Cyprinodontidae (Pupfishes), subfamily: Cyprinodontinae
Max. size:  3.4 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  North America: restricted to Devils Hole, Ash Meadows in Nye County, Nevada, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in deep limestone pools. The entire population feeds and breeds in an area 20 meters square, a limestone ledge along one side of Devils Hole. Not a seasonal killifish. Is very difficult to maintain in aquarium.
