Max. size:  5.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  Central America: Pacific coastal river basins.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Recorded in brooks and creeks between 540 and 680 m elevation, tolerates low temperatures and currents of low to moderate velocity. Eats terrestrial and aquatic insects (Ref. 36880). Not a seasonal killifish. Is very difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
