Max. size:  6.6 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathypelagic; marine; depth range 900 - 3500 m
Distribution:  Atlantic, Indian and Pacific: circumtropical. South China Sea (Ref.74511).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Bathy- to abyssopelagic (Ref. 58302). No apparent vertical migration has been observed (Ref. 4463).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 16 May 2012 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
