Environment:  benthopelagic; marine; depth range 500 - 725 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: Off Java, Philippines and northwestern Australia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 9-12; Dorsal soft rays (total): 15-30; Anal spines: 1-3; Anal soft rays: 20-23; Vertebrae: 31-31. Dorsal profile only weakly convex. Snout rounded with jaws terminal (Ref 9834).
