Environment:  pelagic; freshwater; pH range: 6 - 6.5; dH range: 5 - 10, potamodromous
Distribution:  Oceania: northern and eastern Australia and southern New Guinea.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in rivers, small streams, lakes, ponds, reservoirs and warm springs.
