Family:  Champsodontidae (Crocodile toothfishes)
Max. size:  9.9 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range - 370 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: southern Japan, the Yellow Sea and the China seas. Reported from the Chesterfield Islands (Ref. 11897).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits sandy mud bottoms (Ref. 11230). Spawns in winter.
