Max. size:  18.6 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 380 - 800 m, non-migratory
Distribution:  North Pacific: southwestern Sea of Okhotsk and the Bering Sea.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 54-58; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 47-51; Vertebrae: 59-63. Pectoral fin shallowly notched; caudal fin emarginate, narrow, continuous with vertical fins for about two-fifths of its length without notches at union (Ref. 12700). Body red; posterior dorsal, anal and caudal fins black (Ref. 12700)
