Max. size:  4.5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range - 1 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: known only from Pangani, Maziwi Islands, Tanzania.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  The type material was collected amongst the coral Galaxea clavus. Males may be mature at 4.35 cm SL. Ovoviviparous (Ref. 205). The male carries the eggs in a brood pouch which is found under the tail (Ref. 205). Minimum depth from Ref. 58018.
