Max. size:  22 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Indonesia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 1-1; Dorsal soft rays (total): 4-5; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 9-9; Vertebrae: 44-45. Differentiated from its congeners by the following unique set of characters: eye diameter 1.9-3.2% HL; interorbital distance 19.2-25.1% HL; snout length 28.6-34.1% HL; length of caudal peduncle 33.7-36.5% SL; 44-45 vertebrae; and brown spots on the dorsal and pectoral fins concentrated in a dark band in the distal half (Ref. 45707).
Biology:  Sexually dimorphic (Ref. 45707).
