Family:  Triglidae (Searobins), subfamily: Prionotinae
Max. size:  11 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 60 - 94 m
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: Baja California and the Gulf of California to Colombia. One specimen reportedly captured near Channel Islands off Santa Barbara in southern California, USA (Ref. 2850).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits soft bottoms.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 25 May 2007 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
