Max. size:  21.6 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Central America: Río Usumacinta basin in the states of Chiapas and Tabasco, Mexico; El Petén and Alta Verapaz, Guatemala. Recently discovered in a tributary (Río Mescalpa) to the next river to the west of the Usumacinta, Río Grijalva.
