Environment:  demersal; freshwater; depth range - 75 m,
Distribution:  Africa: Endemic to Lake Malawi.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs from the bottom to about 75 m (Ref 4967). Commonly caught in deep regions. A piscivore (Ref. 5595). Stronger tendency to liv ein open water than other clarids (Ref. 78218). Piscivore and often taken on lines (Ref. 78218).
