Diagnosis: | Dorsal spines (total): 9-9; Dorsal soft rays (total): 20-22; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 16-18. Greenish blue above, silvery grey below; blackish blotch on upper opercular margin; caudal fin yellowish (Ref. 3197). Adult males with 3-8 central dorsal and anal filamentous rays; LL with 17-29 scutes. | |||
Biology: | Adults inhabit coastal waters of the continental shelf (Ref. 5213, 7300). | |||
