Family:  Apistidae (Wasp scorpionfishes)
Max. size:  19 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 19 - 49 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: Papua New Guinea (Ref. 6192), the Arafura Sea (Ref. 9819) and northwestern Australia (Ref. 5978).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in inshore waters of the continental shelf. Benthic (Ref. 75154).
