Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Central America: Lake Apoyo in Nicaragua.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 16-18; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-12; Anal spines: 6-7; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Breeding adults with completely black caudal peduncle and head. Distance from snout to dorsal-fin origin 41.1-47.9% SL (Ref. 75014).
