Distribution:  Asia: known only from the Manavgat River basin in Turkey.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-12; Anal soft rays: 16-18; Vertebrae: 36-38
Biology:  Forms schools along the banks just under the water surface in clean, slow flowing water with very dense aquatic vegetation.
