Family:  Gobiesocidae (Clingfishes and singleslits), subfamily: Cheilobranchinae
Max. size:  3.1 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 0 - 10 m
Distribution:  Southwest Pacific: known only from Norfolk Island.
Diagnosis:  This species is distinguished by the combination of its small gill opening (8.8 in HL), lack of a pelvic-fin rudiment, narrow interorbital space (8.8 in HL), presence of only 2 cephalic pores in the lateral line system, and the origin of the dorsal-fin fold posteriorly placed (Ref. 76765).
Biology:  Occurs in shallow coastal waters (Ref. 76765).
