Remarks Found inshore (Ref. 75154). Juveniles and/or adults are found in mangrove creeks (Ref. 121464). Pelagic-coastal. Occasionally enters estuaries but known to be intolerant of low salinity waters and high turbidity. Forms small groups above coral reefs and around offshore islands. Predator. Feeds on fishes, cephalopods and crustaceans. Known host to tapeworm and roundworm larvae (Ref. 9773).
