Espinas dorsales (total): 0; Radios blandos dorsales (total): 13-15; Espinas anales 0; Radios blandos anales: 14 - 16; Vértebra: 35 - 38. Adipose fin small and slender; pectorals slender and short (Ref. 6885). Gray to dark greenish blue on dorsally, lighter ventrally; black on operculum and fins; golden or claret on photophores (Ref. 6885). Branchiostegal rays: 9-10 (Ref. 31442).
