পৃষ্ঠীয় কাঁটা (মোট ): 15 - 17; পৃষ্ঠীয় নরম পাখনা দন্ড (মোট ): 9-11; পায়ূ কাঁটা 3; পায়ূর নরম পাখনা্তুন্ড: 8 - 10. Diagnosis: no protuberance on the chest (Ref. 55908). Low number of gill-rakers (Ref. 27611, 55908). Pores and bones in infraorbital series on the head small; lower jaw 44.7-51.1% head length; 3-4 rows of scales on cheek starting from ventroposterior corner (Ref. 55908).

More or less evenly distributed below 60m (Ref. 55908). Prefers sandy and muddy bottoms (Ref. 5595).
