Description synthétique Morphologie | Morphométrie

Épines dorsales (Total): 16 - 17; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total): 9; Épines anales 3; Rayons mous anaux: 7. Diagnosis: body depth 37.1-40.5% of standard length; dorsal fin with several dark spots, the last 3 ones larger and darker than the others; caudal fin with a black spot at base (Ref. 53405).

Found primarily in smaller rivers and creeks, although it may also be found in shallows waters near the banks of larger rivers; pair-bonding cave spawner (Ref. 52307).
