Comments: Type locality of the syntypes of Tilapia swynnertoni: 'Idunda River, a limestone-stream flowing into the lower Buzi River, in Portuguese Gazaland (altitude about 100 feet)' (Ref. 130264). Known from Buzi River (Ref. 130264) and lower Pungwe southwards to Save River (Ref. 4983).
