Comments: Introduced, well established and self-sustaining in streams all over the Aberdare Mountains, Mount Kenya and Mount Elgon (Ref. 52331), thus the upper reaches of the Athi-Galana-Sabaki drainage (Ref. 30558). It was first introduced into Kenya in 1910 from South Africa (Ref. 1739, 52331) and U.K. for angling and aquaculture (Ref. 52331). Also Ref. 7306.
