Épines dorsales (Total): 8; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total): 16-17; Épines anales 3; Rayons mous anaux: 14. This species is distinguished by the following set of characters: breast is completely scaled; cheek scaled; distinct, complicated sensory canals on the suborbital area, extending to the nape; anteroventral profile of the lower jaw is almost straight (Ref. 74926).
