Comments: Occurs throughout India except western face of Western Ghats (Ref. 41236). Known from Ganga, Godavari and Krishna rivers and fresh waters of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Assam, Orissa, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu (Ref. 45255). Common in the tributaries of Ganges and also in Godavari and Krishna rivers (Ref. 4832). Also Ref. 43640. Status of threat: Low risk in Western Ghats (Ref. 50614).
