Comments: Currently found only in the Nanwan River, a tributary of the Ruili River in Yunnan Province. Type locality, Nanwan River (a tributary of upper Irrawaddy), I km from Simenkan Village, Qingping Township, Longchuan County, Yunnan Province (Ref. 75599).

خارهاي باله پشتي (کل): 3; شعاع نرم باله پشتي (کل): 7-8; خارهاي باله مخرجي 3; شعاع نرم باله مخرجي: 9 - 10; مهره ها: 30. Can be diagnosed from all its congeners by the following characters: pre-dorsal scales 15-16; predorsal length 60.68% of SL; preanal length 65-71% of SL; eye diameter 27-38% of HL and 70-93% of inter-orbital width; and dorsal fin origin posterior to pelvic fin insertion (Ref. 75599).

Occurs in small hill stream with sandy bottom and numerous cobblestones. Food items found in the intestines include zooplankton and phytoplankton (Ref. 75599).
