Comments: Known from the Heilongjiang River to rivers in Hainan, Changjiang, Yellow River, Zhujiang, Qiangtangjiang, Huai River (Ref 33784). Found also Guangxi Province(Long zhou, Chongzuo); Hainan Province (Haikou, Nanfeng); Tai Lake of Jiangsu Province; Dong Lake of Huibei Province; Sichuan Province (Tuojiang, Hechuan); Heilongjiang Province(Ref.33784). Introduced from its native range to other regions in the country (extensive stocking in all great inland waters) (Ref. 55380). Reported from Yangtze, Amur, Lake Khanka (Ref. 13397). Also Ref. 35840.

Description synthétique Morphologie | Morphométrie

Épines dorsales (Total): 3; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total): 7; Épines anales 3; Rayons mous anaux: 20 - 21. Lateral line in the middle of the body, straight. Greenish gray in the back and silver white in the stomach. Anal, pectoral, and pelvic fins are orange colored (Ref. 33303).
