Comments: Found in the lower tributaries of the Ndian and several small coastal rivers. Its most easterly locality is Funge, from where a strain which is popular for aquarium rearing comes. Also occurs in the coastal rivers of the West (Ref. 51193).Also Refs. 3788, 27139, 31267.

Restricted to brooks in the coastal rainforest with a calcium containing soil (Ref. 3788). Not a seasonal killifish. Is difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
