Comments: Type locality of Odontostilbe weitzmani from Lapa stream near the mouth and along the seawall of rock and the bridge of the road of Itirapina, São Paulo State, Brazil, MZUSP 121648. Also known from the tributaries of the upper rio Paraná, in the states of Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, and São Paulo (Ref. 128907).

Found at lapa stream near the mouth and along the seawall of rock and the bridge of the road. The largest specimens observed were 4.39 cm for males and 5.08 cm for females (Ref. 128907).
