Etymology: Cambeva: Probably derived from the Tupi-Guarani, is a popular name for trichomycterid fishes in southern and south-eastern Brazil (Ref. 119381); pascuali: Named for Jose Pascual Ochoa, the author's father (Ref. 116172).
