South America: Peixe River drainage of the Araguaia River basin in Brazil.

Max length : 2.8 cm SL mâle / non sexé; (Ref. 59346); 2.5 cm SL (female)

Collected in shallow pools and creeks adjacent to a stream which is about 10-20 cm deep; with orange clay bottom, in open vegetation of the Brazilian Cerrado and water was clear, pH 6.2 (Ref. 59346).
