Comments: Tropical and temperate distribution in Western Australia (Lower W coast, N coast) (Ref. 75154). Occurs only in southwestern Australia, from Recherche Archipelago to the Houtman Abrolhos (Ref. 6871). Common on coastal reefs (Ref. 6871). Records from Northern Australia and Queensland are erroneous (Ref. 6778, 6779). Also Ref. 244.
