Comments: Type locality, NW of Weipa, Gulf of Carpentaria, Queensland, CSIRO H 2903-01 (holotype of Himantura leoparda, 110.5 cm WD, female). Found off northern Australia from Coral Bay (Western Australia) to Cape York (Queensland) (Ref. 76961).
